Dive Chamber Disinfection and Decontamination Trial Project Results

Paper 11 Dive Chamber

Independent testing in an operational dive chamber evaluated Sanondaf’s touchless hydrogen peroxide disinfection method in enclosed, high-pressure environments.

The treatment reached all areas of the chamber, including surfaces that are difficult to clean manually.

Sampling conducted before treatment identified bacteria and mould even after routine cleaning. Following application of the disinfectant, no detectable microorganisms were found on tested surfaces. Cleanliness was maintained even after the chamber was pressurised and returned to operational use.

Air-quality monitoring confirmed that the process did not compromise breathing air safety. All measurements remained well within occupational exposure limits.

These findings indicate that the system can provide effective whole-chamber disinfection while maintaining safe operating conditions for both personnel and equipment.
